Leo "Sailor" MacDonald was the police chief of Springhill, Nova Scotia from 1952-1984, the longest serving chief in Canada. In this interview he discusses his home town of Springhill and some of the most notable expriences of his life. Mr. MacDonald talks mostly about his baseball career as a young man, when he was seen as one of the best ball players in Atlantic Canada. The rest of the interview focuses on his time in the RCMP and the local police; he talks about escorting the Prince of England, Maurice Richard, and the wrestler "Whipper" Billy Watson. At the end of the interview he mentions the time he played baseball against Babe Ruth.
